Understanding and helping with eating disorders – lecture with open discussion
As part of the Mental Health Awareness Week under the motto "Together instead of side-by-side – for a society in which every mind counts", I am giving a lecture on the topic of eating disorders in cooperation with the ApK – Landesverband Berlin e.V. (Relatives of Mentally Ill People), followed by an open Q&A and discussion session.
In my lecture, I talk about the content, the background, and the motivations behind my guidebook "Normalgewicht". I will highlight current topics such as the rivalry among those affected, the role of clinics and social media, as well as ways in which relatives can support those affected. Note: The lecture will occasionally feature images and videos of severely underweight individuals. These contents will be announced in advance. The lecture lasts approximately 60 minutes, followed by time for questions and discussion.

I will highlight current topics such as the competitive behavior among those affected, the role of clinics and social media, and ways in which relatives can support those affected. Note: The presentation will occasionally show images and videos of individuals who are severely underweight. You will be warned in advance about this content. The presentation will last approximately 60 minutes, followed by time for questions and discussion.
